Technologies used by this project

Vimodi is a mobile-first startup -- Vimodi, in its initial incarnation, is an iPad-only Objective-C codebase. The iOS stack is mostly Objective-C, with dependencies managed by CocoaPods. The UI is almost entirely custom, with our own (evolving) library to support it. Various asynchronous aspects of the codebase are handled with ReactiveCocoa. Persistence is handled by Core Data (with MagicalRecord). At present, development work is coordinated via Slack, Pivotal Tracker and Github.

Python is a widely used general-purpose, high-level programming language. Its design philosophy emphasizes code readability, and its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than would be possible in languages such as C++ or Java. The language provides constructs intended to enable clear programs on both a small and large scale.

Whether you have one image or billions, you are only steps away from using artificial intelligence to recognize your visual content. The API is built around a simple idea. You send inputs (images) to the service and it returns predictions. The type of prediction is based on what model you run the input through. For example, if you run your input through the 'food' model, the predictions it returns will contain concepts that the 'food' model knows about.
